Liverpool and Man City hopes of rejuvenating their title campaigns ended on a sad note when they shared the spoils at Anfield. A two all draw is not what Rafael Benitez or Mark Hughes certainly hoped to achieve after ninety of play. The match that could have easily been won by any side, were it not for the defensive lapses that were contributed by both defenses.

Although the blues were short of their first choice players they didn’t look as if they were missing them.
