TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
(Singapore)
Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage budget for R&D laboratory.
* Provide technical consultation in the field of pavement engineering and construction waste recycling
* Collaborate with Plant operations and Marketing on improvement or business development projects
* Inform Directors of the latest trend and technology in the industry locally and internationally, and make appropriate recommendation on business direction.

Objectives:-

* Initiate and manage research and development activities in asphalt mix, asphalt production, reclaimed asphalt pavement, pavement materials, construction waste recycling, recycled concrete aggregate
* Organize and manage client relations to increase available markets for products
* Design and facilitate QA/QC plan for production plants

Work Relationships:-

* Direct report to CEO
* Works closely with Tender Department when questions arise on bid items
* Works closely with Operations and Plant Manager on aggregate sizing, product blends and QA/QC plan
* Works closely with Directors on business opportunities
* Responds to customer needs for data and product knowledge

Requirements:

* A Ph.D. in civil engineering, transportation engineering, pavement engineering or technical equivalency
* At least 10 years industry experience with in-depth knowledge of asphalt
* Good knowledge and experience in construction materials is added advantage
