Icon Airframe Carbon Lifeform Helmet

Carbon - the fundamental structure of all life - incredibly light, unbelievably strong. Icon has used this fundamental element to produce there lightest helmet ever. The shell is formed with Icon's unique dry molding technology which allows for exact placement of carbon material.

This controlled placement provides reinforced structure without adding weight. Indeed, weighing in at a mere 1450 grams, the Carbon life form is a prime example of the most modern of helmet manufacturing technologies. Of course the weight savings benefit is matched by the vastly superior venting system used in the Airframe. Where the other manufacturers imply venting the Airframe truly delivers.

If you have the means Icon highly recommends acquiring this truly unique Airframe. You will not be disappointed.

The Monkey from Bali Made Her A Global Star

A student has been left feeling a little red-faced after an embarrassing incident with a monkey made her a global star.

Charmian Chen, who just happens to be a model, was visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest Ubud in Bali last month when two of the primates decided she was a little overdressed.

The 22-year-old student, from Taiwan, was on holiday on the tropical Indonesian island feeding long-tailed macaques when she was singled out. The two macaques apparently spotted a piece of corn that had fallen down Ms Chen's top and decided they wanted it back.

Despite her valiant effors to fend it off, one monkey managed to pull down her top leaving the red-faced model to cover herself as best she could, with her hands.

But what should have been an amusing holiday wardrobe malfunction has ended up catapulting Ms Chen to internet superstardom. Pictures of the incident have made headline news in her native Taiwan, with TV stations asking her to appear and talk about it.

The images have also spread around the globe, appearing on blog sites and forums in the U.S. and Britain. She said: 'I was on holiday and at first the pictures were just funny, but when I got back to Taiwan I had all these people trying to add me as friends on Facebook.

'I thought "that's a bit strange", and then one of them said they'd seen the pictures and I was really surprised, the next thing I knew I had TV stations ringing me.

'I was on vacation then in Bali so I didn't mind it, but back in Taiwan I was still studying so I didn't want to become famous just for my boobs.

'But actually it has been fun, people do come up to me and say "you're the monkey girl" and it does make me laugh.'

Ms Chen said the macaques, as well as being hungry, were also attracted to bikinis worn by many visitors.

She added: 'I think when they took my top down it was because of the corn but the park staff warn visitors that bright bikinis worn under dresses do attract the monkeys.

'I think it's the bright colours which they think might be fruit, well I don't know about that but it was very strange at the time.'

Icon Alliance Harbinger Helmet

Just when you thought death had been done to death - we went ahead and drew this. The Harbinger. Pronounced Har-Binge-Er, his toothy grin is but a sly reminder of every mans eventual fate. Scythe at the ready, he reaps what others have sowed. The final harvest. If this is your style of graphic, you will absolutely love this lid. If it isnt, please address your vitriolic disdain to our home office at Rideicon.com. Drawing skulls is our business, and business is ridiculous.

Evolved & refined. Icon has never been satisfied with the status quo - which is why we created the new Icon AllianceTM helmet. Based on the proven Alliance SSR, this nextgen helmet is fitted with a multitude of key refinements. The first revision is the new EPS liner. We’ve listened to the customers’ requests and reshaped the EPS liner into a more oval geometry. This new headform increases rider comfort by slightly elongating the entire inner circumference. Combine this geometry with our removable Hydra-Dry™ wicking comfort liner and the result is a nearly perfect rider-focused enclosure.

To further increase rider comfort, they've revised the entire venting system. Much like a finely tuned motor, we’ve reshaped and enlarged the intake and exhaust ports for increased airflow. Additional ventilation ports have also been added to the lateral aspect of the helmet to further increase ventilation. The shield itself has been upgraded to Icon’s distortion-free Pro-Shield™. The Pro-Shield™ features the ProLock™ shield locking system, graphic enabled sideplates, fog-free coating, and a no-tools shield change interface. Continuing with our commitment to excellence, the Alliance is constructed with premier manufacturing processes and stringent quality assurance procedures. This, combined with rigorous testing, assures that the Alliance meets or exceeds the high safety standards set by DOT,ECE,SG and SAI.
