Description
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Library is seeking a Services Librarian for a full time continuing position within the Academic Services Unit of the Library.

This Library works across all campuses and is responsible for the delivery of services to our community,including:

• The delivery of outreach, reference and information literacy programs relevant to UNSW research and learning and teaching needs within and across disciplines;
• The development and maintenance of effective relationships with students, staff, faculties; schools, centres, administrative units and teaching hospitals;
• Identifying information resources at an appropriate level for research and learning and teaching at UNSW and enabling the exploitation of existing UNSW collections;

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a range of specialised services including:

• Reference services
• Bibliometrics
• Research consultations

An understanding of research methodology and management, as well as an appreciation of the higher education sector, will be well regarded.
Salary
Level 6: A$61K - A$65K per year (plus 17% employer superannuation and leave loading)

Akiyoshi in for Pedrosa

Overweight Japanese test mule Kousuke Akiyoshi has been un-sensationally drafted in to replace the injured kneecap of Dani Pedrosa for the upcoming MotoGP test at Jerez.

"He's piled on the noodles for sure" exclaimed one eye witness "We half expected him to start hoying great handful of salt around and shoving folk out of his 'doyo'. That said we're really glad Pedrosa's not here."

It's believed that the Evil Honda Corporation decided to use Akiyoshi due to him being both fat yet likeable and thus would be able to give valuable feedback on the bike from the exact opposite end of the spectrum to Pedrosa.
More importantly, however, is that the move strengthens the rumours that HRC, bored with Dani and annoyed with his wigged manager, are set to ditch Spaniard at the end of the season and go back to having correctly proportioned riders.

Meanwhile, back in donkeyland, Dani Pedrosa's chances of being fit for the opening round in Qatar are said to be on schedule.
"Sadly I think Pedrosa and his aura of misery will be ready to pollute all at the opening race of the season" bemoaned one Lorenzo loving Doctor "He'll still be short and boring though - medical science could never fix that chronic issue."
