PSSI awards two year-contract to Dutch coach Wim

Jakarta - The All-Indonesia Soccer Association (PSSI) under its new chairman Djohar Arifin Husin has awarded a two-year contract to Dutch coach Wim Rijsbergen to train the national team.

PSSI media officer Halim Mahfudz said here on Saturday that talks between the former coach of the Ajax Amsterdam junior team with the PSSI management took place on Friday (July 15).

"Talks have already happened and Wim expresses his readiness to become chief coach of the national team. The contract will be valid for two years," Mahfudz said briefly.

Thus, the former coach for Trinidad & Tobago national team will officially lead the national team`s exercises for the 2014 Pre World Cup (PPD) and several international matches that have been waiting including the SEA Games in 2011.

Although PSSI has not yet made formal statement relating to the work contract, Wim Rijsbergen had led the national team exercises at the PSSI soccer field in Senayan for the last couple of days with the assistance of Rahmat Darmawan.

Wim Rijsbergen was appointed by the Djohar Arifin Husin-led PSSI following the dismissal of the former national team`s chief coach Alfred Riedl although Riedl work`s contract will end only in May 2012.

In addition to discharging Riedl, PSSI also dismissed the national coach assistant Wolfgang Pikal.

Riedl had asked about the reason for his dismissal so far, although he could accept the PSSI`s decision.

According to the spokesman, Alfred Riedl`s performance so far was good. (*)

Monitor programme performance by analyzing all related areas i.e. competition, Services Level Agreements, Customer Satisfaction etc.
Adopt value based management, by setting targets for all units in relation to all programs.
Monitor the progress of all transactions being handled by various business units within the programs.
Prepare periodic reports as may be required to enhance decision making.
Allocate duties, train, supervise and appraise IADE programs’ service delivery staff.

Minimum Qualifications

At lease five years of relevant experience especially in management of Educational Institution and curriculum development.
