Handy Start Menu 1.28

How long does it take you to find an application in the long Start menu list? The Handy Start Menu utility will reduce that time as it will automatically group applications in the menu by categories depending on their purpose.

The utility makes the menu so convenient that you will no longer have to create piles of shortcuts on the desktop, create complex panels in the Quick Launch bar and spend time browsing through the long list, trying to find an application that you have not placed on the desktop or Quick Launch bar.

Also, it will be easier to access items in the menu. You will only have to click the folder with the name of a program, and our utility will run that application automatically.

Spies secures front row in Aragón

Spies improved consistently over the weekend, coinciding with an increase in grip level on the Spanish circuit. A small crash in the extended final practice this morning resulted in no injuries, the Texan finishing in sixth place 1.104 seconds from first. A set up change mid-qualifying brought another step, enabling him to deliver third place and close the gap to pole to 0.704 seconds.

Reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo left his fastest times to later in the session, battling a lack of rear grip to deliver fourth place for tomorrow’s race, 0.819 seconds from Championship rival Casey Stoner on pole. The Mallorcan rider was less then happy with the final result and will continue to work overnight with his crew to make another step for morning warm up.

Ben Spies:
“The whole weekend has been pretty good for me, I’m pretty happy with it. We struggled a little bit this morning but the bike’s working really well. We looked over a bit of data and tried to find the best compromise. We found it with 30 minutes to go in qualifying and with the race tyres we were about third or fourth quickest. When we put the softer tyres on we were able to go quicker and get on the front row. The crew has done an amazing job to get the bike where it is, we’re just lacking a bit of speed from the front two guys. We’re going to try and challenge for the podium tomorrow.”

Jorge Lorenzo:
“We struggled here last year and we are here struggling again this year, maybe even more. We have many problems with rear grip; we are not getting enough traction to be really fast. Tomorrow I think the maximum we can get is third place on the podium unless something very strange happens so that is the goal we have. The long straight is not the best for us but in the corners we are also a bit slower than the others so we must find something.”

Indonesia to rely on Angel at SEA Games

Jakarta - Indonesia will be relying on Angel Magdalena Ticoalu and Ricky to grab gold medals again from billiard event at the coming Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), a spokesman said.

"The two men`s and women`s national billiard players still continued performing maximally at national or international championships," the secretary general of the All Indonesia Billiard Association (PB POBSI), Soedarjanto, said here on Sunday.

To achieve all the targets PB POBSI has given periodic tests since August 2011 to 20 billiard players consisting of 16 men`s and four women`s players.

Through intensive training in pool, snooker, carom and English billiard PB POBSI is optimistic its athletes could win gold medals in the pool and carom events.

He said it was not impossible for other players besides Angel and Ricky to also be able to win gold medals. What is important however is the national team would be able to maintain the tradition of winning gold medals in the event, he said.

When playing at home, Soedarjanto said, athletes are more challenged to present their best performance and with support from home spectators opponents are usually a bit nervous.

He said national players also often face such non-technical factors when playing at international events. He referred to Ricky Yang as an example whose performance dropped at the 25th SEA Games in Laos in 2009 after winning a world champion title in the Philippines.

Soedarjanto hoped that this would not happen when Ricky and Angie played at the 26th SEA Game multi-events in Jakarta and Palembang in November.

He admitted, however, Thailand and the Philippines would remain the strong opponents in the 26th SEA Games in November.(*) ANT/H-YH/S012

Australia shares sporting secrets with Indonesia

Jakarta - Today Australia shared some of the secrets of its sporting success with Indonesia, which could help Indonesia become one of the world`s top sports nations, the Australian Embassy said here on Wednesday.

In the latest series of sports seminars run by the Australian Embassy, visiting experts from Australia Dr Fadi Ma`ayah, and Hallam Pereira, spoke about applying sport science in football, and how Indonesia can become a top-ten nation in world sport.

Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Greg Moriarty, is a strong advocate for strengthening sports cooperation between Australia and Indonesia.

"Sport is an excellent way to develop stronger people-to-people links. The support shown by Indonesia?s sports sector for the seminars has been overwhelming and we will continue working closely with KOI to strengthen Indonesia?s sporting performance," said Ambassador Moriarty.

President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), Rita Subowo said "KOI has been working closely with the Australian Embassy over the past 18 months on a number of initiatives and I am confident that these will positively impact Indonesia`s preparations for the South East Asian Games in the short term, as well as our long-term sporting future."

At the seminar the Australian Embassy awarded the 2011 Allan Taylor Sports Grant to Rumah Cemara for their League of Change football program.

Rumah Cemara, the Bandung based organisation that works to increase the quality of life for and reduce the stigma towards people living with HIV, will use the AU$10,000 Australia-Indonesia Institute sponsored Allan Taylor Sports Grant to run the League of Change, a football tournament that will see people living with HIV playing alongside people that don?t live with HIV.

"We are proud to have the opportunity to support the League of Change. Football is a sport that is very close to the hearts of many Indonesians and therefore a great means to educate people about complex social issues," Ambassador Moriarty was quoted as saying by the embassy in its website.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) and PSSI entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2010. The MoU provides for both federations to share coaching and sports science expertise, exchanges of teams, referees, coaches and other experts.

The FFA is keen to work with the new administration at PSSI to make these aims a reality, and is currently in discussion with PSSI to achieve this. As part of the relationship, both parties are keen for the national teams as well as the youth teams of Indonesia and Australia to play each other.

Fadi Ma`ayah is a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator for Sports Science and Football from the Edith Cowan University in Perth.

Hallam Pereira is International Project Director from the Western Australian Department of Sport and Recreation. Pereira is no stranger to Indonesia, having acted as a consultant for the recently formulated Strategic Plan for Sport for East Java.

Funding for this seminar was provided by Olympic Solidarity, which is the funding program developed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). (Tx.A014/A014)
