Tari Tidi Lo Polopalo

Tidi Lo Polopalo adalah sebuah tarian khas Gorontalo yang khusus dipertunjukkan pada saat ada upacara perkawinan. Tarian ini dilakukan oleh pengantin perempuan sebagai simbol seorang putri bangsawan yang tinggal di istana. Tari Tidi La Polopalo awalnya adalah tarian khusus bagi keluarga istana dan dipertunjukkan di lingkungan istana. Ia konon diciptakan oleh dua orang putri Raja Amai yang iri karena sang kakak (laki-laki) memiliki sayembara. Agar tidak dinomorduakan, mereka kemudian menciptakan sebuah tarian yang menggambarkan kehalusan budi pekerti, keramah tamahan, serta tanggung jawab rumah tangga kaum perempuan. Penyajian Tidi Lo Polopalo diawali dengan posisi penari dalam keadaan berdiri. Kemudian mereka akan melakukan gerakan-gerakan tertentu seperti memalingkan wajah ke kiri dan kekanan, mengayunkan tangan secara bergantian, memainkan polopalo (alat musik terbuat bambu atau pelepah daun rumbia), berjinjit, dan terakhir menunduk dengan badan sedikit menunduk sebagai tanda penghormatan.
