• Prefer candidate from Standard Chartered Bank of similar background (either local or from M’sia)

• 3-4 yrs distributed operation / platform
• Computer operations in mainframe platform
• Min 5years exp in managing a team size >6pax

Experience:
Experience in working in a multi platform processing environment, which includes hands on knowledge in 1 or 2 of the following platform environment: MVS, Unix (Sun, AIX, HP), AS400 and Windows

Skills Required:
• Ability to operate or understand scheduling and automation tools, eg CA7/CA1, TWS, Netmaster, Omegamon, AF/Operator, and Tivoli.
• Ability to monitor CICS online and batch processing
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
• Independent, self-starter and with the ability to work within a team environment
• Monitors all systems via centralised monitoring toolsets, to resolve or escalate problems in accordance with documented process and procedures, within pre-defined timelines, to prevent any financial impact to the business.
• Logs all errors within the Business agreed Problem Management System, to the defined standard and in accordance with departmental requirements.
• Coordination of Service restoration activities, which include conference call facilitation, escalation to support organizations, notification to senior TI managers & Customers/Business, using pre-defined problem and incident management standards and toolsets.
• Perform all manual activities to the defined standard, following documented procedures explicitly, to ensure continuity and compliance of process. Any change related activities that require a change to the standard BAU documented process, both in terms of complexity or timing of event, must be performed exactly as stated within the fully approved change record. Escalate any inaccuracies, ambiguity or seek clarification where required, prior to performing non-BAU activities.
• Notify Line Manager or supervisor of trends or high point-in-time alerts that could be caused by an underlying issue, rather than a standard single component failure, such as a network device failure, venerability attack, infrastructure failure etc.
• Provide professional first-line support out of core Business Hours when customers report problems directly to the Command Centre. Command Centre Operatives will ascertain the scale and impact of a reported problem and escalate to the relevant Support Organization where appropriate, notifying their line manager/supervisor accordingly.
• Responsible for the 24-hours-a-day/seven -days-a-week operation at the Head Office Main Data Center’s Mainframe System which runs both the production and development applications.
• Executes computer commands and jobs in IBM Mainframe environment for processing bank transactions, management of system data storage, copying of files, renaming and deleting of data set files, routing reports to branches and to printers, backup and restore of data set files.
• Activates and deactivates system devices such as printers, cartridge drives and magnetic tape drives.
• Performs daily recycling of production CICS application system and the tellers terminal on-line Manipulates master and alternate consoles of IBM MVS/ESA for system monitoring, shutdown and loading of application systems, interprets console messages from application programs and executes commands require for intervention.
• Operates Tandem computer, which supports ATM operations; performs ATM report generation processing, monitoring of ATM machine transactions, back-up of files to system disk as well as on external storage such as magnetic reel tapes and prints report files.
