Jakarta - National bowler Ryan Lalisang is obssessed to repeat his past success of presenting a gold medal to the country in the next 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou in November.
"I will try as hard as possible to repeat the success of winning a gold medal in the next 16th Asian Games. In the framework of meeting the goal the Association of Indonesian Bowlers plans to send the Asian Games team to conduct a trial at a world championship in Germany in the middle of next month," he said here on Tuesday.
Ryan said intensive exercise would be needed at a higher level arena in order to be able to perform well in Asian multi-events like the Asian Games.He said meeting world-level opponents would help improve mental conditions.
Ryan said the athletes that were prepared for the Asian Games are currently being trained by US coach Arthur William helped by national coaches Indra Gondokusumo and Harapan Matondang.
He said he would make the 16th Asian Games also an arena for making a success in the Southeast Asian Games next year.(*)
