Indonesia's shooters brought home another bronze medal on the last day of the shooting competition at the ongoing 26th SEA Games on Wednesday, this time in the mens 10-meter running target.
The bronze was grabbed by Masruri, who scored a total of 543, falling behind Vietnamese Huu Vuong Ngo who scored 556 and won gold, and Duc Hung Do who scored 550 and took the silver.
Indonesian hopeful Anang Yulianto, who already got one gold medal in the mens individual 25-meter standard last week, failed to grab any medals in the mens 25-meter center fire pistol.
The competition was dominated by Vietnamese shooters Xuan Vinh Hoang, who took the gold and Minh Thanh Ha who got bronze. The silver medal went to Thai shooter Panichpatikum Jakkrit.
Anang said he had been unable to practice as much as he would have liked.
“We only got bullets for this competition a month beforehand,” he said.
Indonesian shooting team manager Robby Atmadja admitted that his team had faced difficulties in providing the athletes with 0.32 caliber bullets used in the center fire pistol competition.
“We only got a permit to [import] the bullets a month a go,” he said.
