Masa Depan Rossi Ditentukan Tujuh Balapan Awal MotoGP 2021

Andrea Dovizioso Siap Gantikan Marquez

Melalui manajernya, Simone Battistella, Dovizioso dikatakan siap menggantikan posisi The Baby Alien sebagai pebalap Repsol Honda.

Tak Ada Nama Andrea Dovizioso di Line Up Motogp 2021

Berikut adalah daftar sementara pebalap Motogp 2021 Repsol Honda (Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaro); Monster Energy Yamaha Motogp (Maverick Vinales, Fabio Quartararo); Suzuki Ecstar (Joan Mir, Alex Rins); Ducati Team (Jack Miller; Francesco Bagnaia); Red Bull KTM Factory Racing (Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira); Petronas Yamaha SRT (Franco Morbidelli, Valentino Rossi); LCR Honda (Takaaki Nakagami, Alex Marquez); Pramac Racing (Johann Zarco, Jorge Martin); Esponsorama Racing (Enea Bastianini, Luca Marini); Tech3 KTM Factory Racing (Iker Lecuona, Danilo Petrucci); dan Aprilia Racing Team Gresini (Aleix Espargaro; Lorenzo Savadori/Bradley Smith).

Valentino Rossi Dinyatakan Positif Covid-19

Hafizh Syahrin Didepak Red Bull KTM

(AG/05/2018)

Marquez Sayangkan Dovi Terjatuh

(AG/02/2018)

Harga Angkut Sepeda Motor MotoGP Gunakan Pesawat

(AG/01/2018)

The history of Grand Prix racing in Germany

Here are some facts and figures from the long history of Grand Prix racing in Germany:

- The first motorcycle Grand Prix to be held in Germany was the West German Grand Prix held at the Solitude circuit in 1952, when it was reported that 400,000 spectators turned up to watch. Ireland’s Reg Armstrong won the 350cc and 500cc races, riding Nortons. The home crowd had plenty to cheer about, with Rudi Felgenheier winning the 250cc race on a DKW and Werner Haas winning the 125cc race on a NSU

- The first East German Grand Prix was held at the Sachsenring road circuit in 1961. The original circuit used for this event was a closed road circuit, 8.73km in length

- The East German GP continued to be held at the Sachsenring each year until 1972, after which the road circuit was considered too dangerous for Grand Prix racing

- The West German Grand Prix continued to be held every year from 1952 through to 1990, when East and West joined to become a unified Germany. Four different circuits were used during this period: Solitude, Schotten, Nurburgring and Hockenheim

- There has been a German Grand Prix held every year since unification - from 1991 to 1994 at the Hockenheim circuit, followed by three years at the Nurburgring and since 1998 at the new Sachsenring

- In addition to those mentioned above, one other Grand Prix event has been held in Germany: the Baden-Wurtemberg GP, held in 1986 at the Hockenheim circuit for just the 80cc and 125cc classes

- The newly-built Sachsenring circuit was initially just 3.508km long, with one short section of track from the old road circuit. Major modifications to the circuit in 2001, and then additional slight alterations in 2003, resulted in the current 3.671 km track layout

- This will be the 17th successive year that a Grand Prix event has been held at the new Sachsenring circuit

- Since Grand Prix racing returned to the Sachsenring circuit in 1998, there have been six podium finishes by home riders: Ralf Waldmann was third in the 250cc race in 1999, Steve Jenkner was third in the 125cc race in 2002, Stefan Bradl finished second in the 125cc category in 2008, Sandro Cortese finished third in the 125cc race in 2010, Bradl was second in the Moto2™ race of 2011 and Cortese won the Moto3™ race in 2012

- Since the introduction of the four-stroke MotoGP™ class in 2002, Honda have been the most successful manufacturer at the Sachsenring with eight wins, followed by Yamaha with three and Ducati with a single victory

Repsol and Honda extend MotoGP collaboration through to 2017

This is the longest running sponsor-factory agreement of its kind in the history of the motorcycle World Championship, and has converted the Repsol Honda bikes into icons within the motorsport world. Reigning World Champion, Marc Marquez, together with teammate and Honda stalwart Dani Pedrosa, will continue to represent these two prestigious brands as the factory riders.

The collaboration - which this year celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary - began in February of 1995 providing a perfect combination between bike, fuel and lubricant that has brought sporting success and technological development. Over these 20 years, the team has taken 10 rider titles, 133 victories, with Mick Doohan’s 35 and Dani Pedrosa’s 25 of particular note.

Added to this are 354 podiums, 137 pole positions and 152 race fastest laps. Repsol Honda have also been team champions on 6 occasions, since the award was created in 2002. Half of the World Championship titles won in the past 20 years have gone to Repsol Honda thanks to Mick Doohan (between 1995 and 1998), Alex Criville (1999), Valentino Rossi (2002 and 2003), Nicky Hayden (2006), Casey Stoner (2011) and Marc Marquez (2013).

For Repsol, the close collaboration with Honda is a stimulus in the development of products for as demanding a category as the MotoGP World Championship. These developments are later made available to the company’s more than 4,000 service stations. The bond between Repsol and Honda goes beyond a conventional sporting sponsorship arrangement and is solidified with the relationship between the Honda laboratories in Saitama, Japan, and the Repsol Technology Centre in Mostoles, Spain.

In the 1990s, the collaboration began with the development for 2-stroke engines later moving on to the challenge of developing for 4-strokes. At the Repsol Technology Centre, investigations take place with a unique single cylinder engine identical to those used in Marquez and Pedrosa’s bikes - only the Honda engineers in Saitama have one like it. This year, MotoGP fuel tanks house one litre less than in 2013 (a reduction from 21L to 20L per race), making efficiency a challenge.

Begoña Elices, General Director Communication and Chairman’s Office:

"We are very satisfied with the renewal of this agreement, which has been in place since 1995 and has given us such success –both in terms of sporting results and technological development. We have two exceptional riders in Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, who represent Repsol Values perfectly. This bond with the highest level of competition is the best impulse to improve as a global company, to investigate and develop cutting edge fuels and lubricants. Our alliance with Honda is an example of teamwork, completed by two riders who are ambassadors of our values –such as integrity, responsibility, bravery, enthusiasm and overcoming adversity."

Shuhei Nakamoto, HRC Executive Vice President:

"There is no better moment to celebrate this renewal, after a fantastic 1-2 finish in Germany and now we’re 1-2 in the Championship. We are very happy to extend our partnership with Repsol, which is not only a sponsorship agreement but key technical relationship. With the new 20 litre fuel rules in 2014, we have worked closely with Repsol and we are proud to share our successes both now and in the future!"

Hayden unable to continue at Mugello

After completing just 11 laps on Friday Hayden took the decision just moments before FP3 at the Gran Premio d'Italia TIM that he will take no further part in the sixth round of the MotoGP™ World Championship.

The American has suffered with the problem since round four in Spain but treatment in between races has allowed him to continue racing. However, at such a demanding circuit as Mugello the swelling and pain became unbearable and the best option for 'The Kentucky Kid' was to pull out.

Hayden is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery at 8am next Tuesday in Italy. The exploratory operation will be conducted by hand specialist Riccardo Luchetti, who will hopefully be able to identify the cause of the problem whilst cleaning up the affected area and reducing the swelling so that Hayden can return to competitive action as soon as possible.

The former MotoGP World Champion explained, “My wrist isn't getting any better so as hard a decision as it is to take the best thing for me is to listen to the doctors and skip this race. We need to stop thinking about riding and start thinking about a plan for the operation next week and my subsequent recovery. Mugello is a fast and physical circuit at the best of times but with the pain and loss of strength in my right hand it was getting really difficult to brake properly and it was risky to continue.”

“It is a shame to miss any race but especially Mugello, a circuit I love. It's also a shame for the team because we are really starting to build something together and we are understanding how to make progress more quickly during the weekend. My mechanics are working hard to make things easy for me and to give me the chance to get faster. I feel bad to miss this round, for the team and the sponsors.”

Marquez takes pole to extend perfect run

A 1’47.270 lap gave Marquez his sixth consecutive pole this year and his seventh successive top grid spot including Valencia last year, as his perfect form continued.

An excellent effort from Iannone (+0.18s) saw him show his pace again to get his first premier class front row start, the perfect response to his two recent DNF results and an ideal performance from an Italian rider on an Italian bike at the Gran Premio d'Italia TIM.

Lorenzo got his third row one result of the year in third place, meanwhile, as he lapped a quarter of a second off Marquez.

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) still holds the pole record at Mugello with his 1'47.157s time from last year - and he qualified in fourth position with a late lap 0.314s from today’s pole.

A big crash on an out lap ended Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Pol Espargaro’s session early as he went down at turn nine and was clearly annoyed, but the Spaniard was unhurt and still ended up 5th on the grid.

A good qualifying result for Cal Crutchlow (Ducati Team) in sixth saw him outperform teammate Andrea Dovizioso who was eighth.

Sandwiching Dovizioso on the third row are Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech3) and Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) in seventh and ninth places respectively, with all three qualifying within 0.5s of pole.

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) did not get the Q2 result he wanted as he qualified down in 10th for his 300th Grand Prix race.

Alvaro Bautista (GO&FUN Honda Gresini) and Aleix Espargaro (NGM Forward Racing) made it through from Q1 but were ultimately 11th and 12th.

A February catch-up with Dani Pedrosa

In terms of mileage, Pedrosa ended the three-day test second only to Suzuki Test Team’s Randy de Puniet, whilst the Repsol Honda Team rider focused on ironing out his weaker areas. In-turn, this followed an energetic off-season for the 28-year-old.

How was your winter?
Good, good. It has given me time to unwind. I was able to rest and have some fun. This winter I have been windsurfing, which is one of my favourite hobbies. I was relaxed for a while, I had a change of scenery and then started fitness training.

How is your fitness after two months off and then three intense days of testing?
Well, that went well. Logically I'm tired because I've ridden many laps and it was very hot, but overall I'm very happy with my fitness. Now that we begin to get more time on the bike, we will go better.

Have you been able to improve something that you were not satisfied with over the past year, which was your grip exiting corners?
Yes, last year I lacked grip on the rear and suffered a lot because of this. I improved other aspects to try to compensate for that. We always suffer the most when it comes to getting traction out of the corners and everything we improve with that will be positive. It's something we've worked on at this test and we have made progress.

How can you improve your riding? What did you learn in 2013?
The races in 2013 were much more intense. There was always a lot of intensity in MotoGP™ with Casey (Stoner) and Jorge (Lorenzo), but in 2013 we were almost always close together until the last lap. There were many more races in which two or three riders finished together. In these situations it is important to stay focused and to be precise, despite your tiredness or the fact that the bike is not performing at 100%.

What is your assessment of the opening three days of testing?
I was able to progress quite a lot. Over the first two days I did not start with the best feeling, but we have improved. As I said, we have slightly increased the rear grip, but I have also made good progress ˗ especially with my feel of the bike.

Do you like how the new tyres work?
We have to see how they respond at other circuits, but the truth is that both the soft and hard can be used now, whereas last season you could only use the soft compound. The previous hard tyre had no grip, so in this sense things have also gone well.

At the next test will a race simulation be your main priority?
No, not the priority. Clearly it will be one of the important things, but not the most important. (On Thursday) we did a lot of laps with worn tyres ˗ 60 laps with only two ˗ so we have experience with used tyres now. At the next test I want to prepare the bike as well as we can before heading to (the following test at) Phillip Island.

What will you change when you come back here to Sepang?
Right now there are not many things. We have a good feeling, so we have to keep working and see if we can finish the second test well, to then go to Phillip Island happy.

Gresini's Antonio Jimenez on new 2014 tyres

Bautista may have ended proceedings 11th on the timesheet, but rapid lap times were not everything as numerous experiments went on behind the scenes.

"On the first day of testing, after becoming acquainted with the new RC213V, we started working on Showa suspension's setup starting from the good base reached at the end of last season," Jimenez begins to explain.

"On the second day, the situation became more complicated because we started using the new Bridgestone rear tyre for the 2014 season; that is actually quite different from the tyres used throughout 2013. The new tyre has a more rigid structure, designed to withstand the severe strain of a MotoGP™ and also amid high temperatures.

"Unfortunately, in this first test of the year we had - as all other riders had - only three new rear tyres available. We had to start from scratch in finding the best setting to exploit the potential of these tyres and for us this important work requires a certain time, because - being the only ones to use Showa suspension - we can’t count on other references. However, in the next scheduled test we will use only 2014 spec tyres, so we will focus on this aspect and I am convinced that we can do a good job."

Last year, a podium finish eluded Bautista, who the season before had managed to finish on the rostrum in both the San Marino and Japanese Grands Prix. However, Jimenez is confident that his rider can enjoy a positive upcoming campaign.

"We have seen very good lap times, obtained in the morning when the track was in the best condition," the Crew Chief continues. "In this case we have not been really fast, but we are satisfied.

"Alvaro has been fast with used tyres and this is important for the race distance. Obviously we need to improve for qualifying, but we have time to do it."

Once again this year, Fausto Gresini’s team is running a split programme. With Bautista riding a Factory Option Honda RC213V, new team-mate Scott Redding is piloting a Honda RCV1000R under the new Open regulations.
