The Milan medical team have given an update on the condition of injured stars Pippo Inzaghi, Alessandro Nesta and Gennaro Gattuso.
Inzaghi picked up an injury during the Rossoneri's friendly defeat against Lugano on Wednesday.
The veteran hitman limped off after just 17 minutes with a muscular problem, which has now been diagnosed as a first-degree muscle tear.
“Inzaghi is healing and we are evaluating his progress on a day-to-day basis,” Milan medic Massimo Menara revealed.
Menara also gave the latest on former Azzurri defender Nesta, who is yet to feature this term.
“Nesta is progressing but he isn't ready to return yet,” he stressed. “We are hoping that he will be able to return in the middle of October.”
Gattuso suffered a freak fracture in his wrist after falling into the dug-out during a friendly game with the Azzurri.
“Rino is recovering well,” Menara insisted. “He is undergoing a course of physiotherapy and he started running again today.”
