General responsibility:
Support the OIM in building a safety culture and mode of working onboard.
Follow-up of HSE issues and actively on scene as observer involvement in SO and 3rd part activities
The Safety Officer shall be a person who is visible, and a person who can motivate personnel to take safety related matters serious in their daily work.
Safety Officer reports to OIM.

Criteria
Basic offshore safety training
Highly proficient in MS Office
IWCF/IADC Well control certificate
Minimum 5 years experience in the Oil/Gas Drilling and Marine Industry
Relevant experience from drilling
Relevant experience in Position/Trade of Specialisation
University or College Degree in Engineering
