Our client operates a high end 14-16 bed camp in the Masai Mara, offering high end accommodation and focusing on excellent service levels and individual guest attention.

The position is open to a Camp Management couple and is key to the overall running and management of the camp.

The ideal candidates must possess at least five years of experience in working in high end camps or boutique hotels/lodges within East Africa. The position is for 2 years (which may be extended by mutual agreement)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Top notch hosting of clients
• Production and submission of weekly and monthly management reports on all aspects of running the camp to owners
• Overseeing all F&B functions
• Responsible for procurement, administration and logistics of all camp supplies
• To effectively manage all staff
• Attention to detail with regard to checking standards of tents and mess prior and during client stay.
• To maintain and improve cost effective operations and assist with existing systems and procedures
• General safety and protection of all guests, staff, property and equipment.
• Ensure month-end stock takes are done and submitted on time according to the financial time line.
• Exercise and implement cost saving measures.
• Ensure all furniture, fixtures, equipment, vehicles, generators and related equipment are being maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree or similar within the hospitality industry is an advantage.
• Bush Training skills and completion of Bush Training courses will be an added advantage.
• A MINIMUM of five years experience working within a similar position (s) is essential.
• Fluent Swahili an added advantage.
• Excellent references are essential
