The area: Finance Operations
With the end goal of providing the highest levels of service and efficiency at the lowest attainable cost, the FinOps team designs and executes Google's core finance transaction processes. These include order-to-cash, payroll, procure-to-pay and travel.
The role: Regional Payroll Analyst
Joining our Finance Operations team in Payroll, you will contribute to a multitude of key projects focused on the re-engineering of our core payroll processes worldwide. You will gain invaluable experience in this role through extensive interaction with senior-level management and the ability to influence change across the organization.
You are a creative, unconventional thinker, highly entrepreneurial in spirit and can work and thrive in a dynamic, unstructured environment. You are detail-oriented, is capable of prioritizing, organizing, and managing complex projects.
Responsibilities:
• Satisfy key business initiatives through deployment of creative approaches to improving financial processes and creating system efficiencies
• Build robust set of audits and perform data reconciliation; design effective measurement mechanisms, allowing us to monitor and evaluate customer-facing processes
• Communicate processes to Googlers, explaining methods used to reach quantitative conclusions
• Evaluate and improve current processes and identify additional areas for improvement. Support the design of system/process changes and work with internal and external vendors to implement them.
• Re-engineer core processes to enable scalability, willingness to "get your hands dirty" and get into the details
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record
• Hands-on project management and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent customer service, communication, diplomacy, and collaboration skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
