Job Description
Liaison with forwarders and custom port authorities to ensure timely delivery (inbound and outbound shipping arrangements).
Preparation and timely dispatch of shopping documents to consignees before cargo arrival at destination.
Handing of export L/C and banking documentations, to ensure compliance with all contractual terms, L/C conditions, international trading guidelines and local Trade and Customs regulations.
Working closely with buyers, banks, supply chain and project management teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and delivery.
Procurement of raw materials from vendors
Negotiate for competitive rates with service providers.
Evaluate current structure and implement continuous improvement in shipping procedures.
Other ad hoc duties.
Job Requirements
Degree in business studies or related discipline.
Minimum 1-3 years experience in shipping and L/C documentation.
Good command in English (spoken and written), abilities to interact with Chinese speaking client is a added advantage.
Familiar with all aspects of shipping procedures, documentation, marine insurance, letter of credit etc.
Knowledge of MS word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
Singapore citizen or PR.
Positive attitude with a pleasant personality.
Highly motivated and a team player.
Able to start work immediately or within a short notice.
